The Stadt Theater houses the state ballet and opera companies and theater and the Stuttgart State Gallery nearby has outstanding collections. The Württemberg Art Society building is used for temporary exhibits and the Stuttgart Museum of Art shows most of its works in tunnel galleries. Performance arts are also found off Schloss Strasse at the Liederhalle and Culture and Congress hall. For shopping, head to the Bohnenviertel section, literally the Bean Quarter, for some of the best boutiques, or browse Calwer Strasse for fine shops. The Stuttgart area is also famed for its mineral baths from 19 springs, eleven of which are approved medicinal springs. In the city and in towns around it are a wide choice of baths and spas.
