Extreme sports include hang gliding, climbing and the latest crazes, Nordic walking and rope walking. The Eugenisee Lake is great for a refreshing swim after a hot day in the Alps, and fishing fans will find that it’s regularly stocked with trout. The 18-hole golf course is one of the highest in the world. If the weather is bad, you can visit the 12th-century Benedictine monastery, the Cheese Factory, or the small Folk Museum. There’s a good selection of moderately-priced lodging and a fairly lively party scene during the summer season.
