There's horse racing on the frozen lake, furs and diamonds on display in the exclusive shops, and gourmet dining at the luxury hotels. St. Moritz is the terminus for two of the world’s most celebrated train rides, the Bernina Express and the Glacier Express. Both are breathtaking journeys over the lofty Alpine passes. Beyond the spectacular Maloja Pass lies the Italian-speaking Bregaglia region and the postcard-perfect village of Soglio. In the Lower Engadin, you’ll find the vast Swiss National Park. The rustic, pastel-shaded masonry of the Engadiner architectural style is on display in villages like Scuol, the home of famous thermal baths. Nearby is the magnificent Castle Tarasp.
