In Cortland, agriculture is big business, and at any time of year you can visit the dozens of farms, orchards, farmers' markets, cider mills and wineries. Several miles of the five-hundred-mile-long Finger Lakes Trail are accessible from many places in and around Cortland. Lime Hollow Nature Center has miles of easy trails and an interpretive center. Victorian-era historical artifacts are on display at the 1890 House Museum and Center for Victorian Arts. This limestone mansion was home to industrialist Chester Wickwire; Tiffany and Company designed the lavish interior, and the house contains the Wickwire family’s original Victorian-style furnishings. The Suggett House Museum has an extensive collection of 19th-century quilts and samplers. The Cortland Repertory Theater and the Center for the Arts in Homer offer seasonal and year-round theatrical productions.
