Getting outside the bustle of the little Vermont city, one can find many opportunities for bicycling, hiking, boating, sailing, kayaking and other outdoor activities. While in Burlington, be sure to at least peek at the lake named for the first European settler who supposedly saw the serpentine beast commonly referred to as "Champ," a creature that has been reportedly spotted by others since. Comparisons have been made between these sightings and this lake and the famous Loch Ness in Scotland, and information can be found at local museums.
