Be sure to visit the excellent Museum of Northern Arizona to learn about the natural history and Native American cultures of the region. Expect a changeable climate at this 7,000-foot elevation, with usually short-lived winter storms; snowfall can be erratic, so it's essential to check conditions before coming up to play in the snow.
