Overview

Boasting 56,000 acres of water and 680 acres of parkland, Lake Hartwell is an angler's paradise - home to striped, hybrid and largemouth bass, crappie, bream, and catfish. It is also a great place for boating, water-skiing, and other pastimes. Tent and RV campers may choose from more than 125 sites and two one-room camper cabins - on or near the water. The cabins have electricity but no running water or bathrooms, but restrooms with hot showers are nearby. The park store carries camping and fishing supplies. The cabins have electricity but no running water or bathrooms, but restrooms with hot showers are nearby. The park store carries camping and fishing supplies. Though the recreation area offers no formal events, it is convenient to Table Rock, Devils Fork, and Oconee state parks, known for their historical and musical programs. Located about 30 miles west of Greenville, the park straddles the South Carolina-Georgia state line and can be seen and accessed from Interstate 85.
