Overview
This remote and largely undeveloped park is centered around the large Piute Reservoir. It's on the Sevier Plateau and pretty in a rather spare way. Amenities include a paved boat ramp, a couple of outhouses, and some docks. No drinking water is provided, and the camping area is rough and ready; it's used mainly by anglers who come for rainbow, cutthroat, and brown trout and smallmouth bass. The Piute ATV Trail, a 275-mile-long loop, passes nearby and draws lots of families out for four-wheeling exploration. It's considered to be one of the West's best ATV trails.
